1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PermitDashboard ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PermitDashboard provides permit and license discovery, tracking, and reminder services for small businesses. We aggregate publicly available permit information from government sources to help you understand your compliance requirements.

3. Important Disclaimer

PermitDashboard is an informational tool, not legal advice. Our permit data is sourced from official government records but may not be complete or current. You are ultimately responsible for verifying your compliance requirements with the relevant government agencies.

We attribute all data to its source and include verification dates. Unverified information is clearly labeled. Despite our best efforts, permit requirements can change without notice.

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate business information to receive relevant permit recommendations. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Pricing and Payment

The Compliance Playbook is a one-time purchase ($49). Renewal Tracking is billed annually ($29/year). Prices may change with 30 days notice. Annual subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are issued for the remaining term. We use Stripe for payment processing and do not store your payment card details.

6. Free Tier

The free tier provides the Permit Finder checklist, up to 3 permits tracked, and a single email reminder 7 days before each permit expires, at no cost and with no time limit. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits with 90 days notice.

7. SMS Text Messages

SMS renewal reminders are available as part of the Renewal Tracking subscription. By opting in to SMS messages, you agree to the following:

• You consent to receive automated text messages from PermitDashboard at the phone number you provide.
• Messages include permit renewal reminders sent at 60, 30, and 7 days before expiration. Message frequency varies based on your tracked permits.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Consent to receive SMS is not required as a condition of purchasing any product or service.
• You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings.

8. Advisor Accounts

Advisors who access client data through the Advisor plan are responsible for maintaining client confidentiality and complying with applicable professional standards. Client data is accessible only to the client and their designated advisor.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding government-sourced permit data), is owned by PermitDashboard. You retain ownership of any data you upload to the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PermitDashboard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to fines, penalties, or losses resulting from missed permit deadlines or incorrect permit information.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
